INPERSO Project at Sustainable Places Conference 2025

The INPERSO Project actively participated in the Sustainable Places Conference 2025, the leading European event dedicated to sustainability, innovation, and the transformation of the built environment. The conference took place in Milan, Italy, from 8 to 10 October 2025, and was hosted by R2M Solution and the Comune di Milano.

Not one, not two—but six INPERSO partners were present at Sustainable Places 2025, showcasing the project’s strong engagement and collaborative spirit. The project was proudly represented by:

Throughout the conference, INPERSO partners actively contributed to discussions on circular renovation, sustainable material supply chains, and innovation in the built environment, bringing together data-driven approaches, technical expertise, and a shared vision for a more sustainable Europe.

Recognition by CINEA and the LIFE Clean Energy Transition Programme

The importance of INPERSO’s work was further highlighted by its recognition from CINEA – the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency, which included the project among the EU initiatives presented at Sustainable Places 2025.

Contributing to Sessions on Sustainable Materials and Circular Innovation

As part of the official programme, INPERSO contributed to technical sessions addressing the transition toward a climate-neutral and digitalised built environment. The project’s presence in sessions on sustainable materials and circular innovation highlighted its role in delivering real-life, human-centred solutions that make renovation processes more efficient, sustainable, and scalable.

Beyond technical innovation, INPERSO also played an active role in addressing one of Europe’s key challenges: the skills gap in the green and digital transition.

The project participated in the workshop “Pushing on skills to address the current and future challenges: Learning solutions and trends across economic sectors”, held on 9 October 2025. The session brought together leading EU-funded initiatives to explore innovative training approaches, hybrid learning environments, and emerging skill needs across the construction and built environment sectors.

The workshop featured contributions from a strong cluster of European projects, including INPERSO, ET4Digital, TEXIVOS, Smart Square, Repower Regions, and Metabuilding Labs, highlighting the importance of collaboration across Horizon Europe and Erasmus+ initiatives. Discussions focused on modern training solutions, including digital tools, virtual learning environments, and innovation ecosystems that support workforce upskilling and reskilling.

Looking Ahead

INPERSO’s participation in Sustainable Places Conference 2025 reinforced the project’s commitment to sustainable renovation, circular innovation, and skills development as key pillars of Europe’s green transition.

Alongside many inspiring EU initiatives, the INPERSO consortium continues working toward making renovation in Europe truly sustainable, combining technological innovation with human-centred approaches and strong collaboration across the European innovation ecosystem.
