Use Cases

INPERSO will be demonstrated in fully operational conditions in Valencia (Spain), Velp (Netherlands) and Vouliagmeni (Greece).

The overall goal of the demonstrations is not only to highlight the INPERSO innovations, but also to generate the conclusions needed to advance the system to an almost-commercial readiness level.

Trinity Complex

Velp, Netherlands

The Trinity Complex entails three buildings, all of which are culture heritage buildings and protected by law. INPERSO will be an integral part of the design process to achieve a low carbon retrofit in the entire area. Given the size and scope of the pilot site, it is not possible to carry out deep renovation in each building but piloting and optimising low-disruption, pollution and energy retrofits are key for this Use Case.

Social Shelter

Vouliagmeni, Greece

A number of retrofitting actions will be carried out to this 60-year-old building such as replacement of old windows, installment of HVAC systems and improvement of insulation to maximize indoor comfort and energy performance. Deep renovation will take advantage of the space uniformity to conduct valuable comparative assessment between retrofit configurations.

The INPERSO technologies will also be applied and tested in three school buildings in Switzerland.

The results of the replication cases will test the effectiveness of the IEQ index developed in INPERSO to evaluate the indoor environments and quantify the benefits in IEQ when the developed personalized recommendation system is in operation.
