INPERSO Project at SMART BUILDING EXPO 2025

From 19 to 21 November 2025, the INPERSO Project participated in SMART BUILDING EXPO 2025, one of Italy’s leading events dedicated to smart building technologies, energy efficiency and digital transformation in the built environment. The exhibition took place at Fiera Milano Rho, where INPERSO was represented alongside project partner R2M Solution at Hall 6P, Stand K23.

Showcasing Inovation for the Built Environment

Throughout the three-day event, the INPERSO team presented how European research and innovation can effectively support the digitalisation, energy efficiency and sustainability of buildings. Visitors to the stand had the opportunity to explore solutions ranging from digital building surveys and document management to advanced energy optimisation tools, including the use of artificial intelligence.

INPERSO’s activities focus on experimenting with new models for deep renovation and digital transformation, placing people, performance and sustainability at the centre of building design and operation.

Contribution to the Conference Programme

Beyond the exhibition area, INPERSO and R2M Solution actively contributed to the conference programme with targeted interventions focused on real-life applications and advanced methodologies for building management and optimisation.

On 19 November, Stefano Barbera, Energy Division Manager at R2M Solution, delivered a presentation on “Energy efficiency and Conto Termico 3.0: opportunities for companies and public administrations”, addressing key incentives and policy instruments supporting energy renovation in Italy.

Further sessions explored topics closely aligned with INPERSO’s objectives, including the Smart Readiness Indicator (SRI), the evolving EPBD framework, and the role of digitalisation and smart technologies in accelerating the sustainable transformation of buildings and cities.

Supporting Europe’s Sustainable Transition

By participating in SMART BUILDING EXPO 2025, INPERSO reinforced its commitment to translating EU-funded research into practical, market-ready solutions that respond to current industry needs. Events like these play a crucial role in raising awareness among national stakeholders about how European projects contribute to competitiveness, resilience and the achievement of Europe’s energy and climate targets.

INPERSO continues to work towards enabling smarter, greener and more human-centred buildings, fostering collaboration between research, industry and public authorities across Europe.
